Teen Drinking: weekend post

Teen drinkin is another issue that has became a problem in society. teen drinkin may occur for many reasons. One reason may be depression. Teens may become depressed because of family issues, failinq school etc. Another reason teens drink is because of peer pressure. A teen may not want to drink but they let bad influences take over them. They drink just so they can be "cool". Teen drinkinq had become a big issue. I think this is why they are tryinq to raise the age to get your liscens in NYC. Teens are drinkinq & drivinq which lead to many accidents which cause the death rate to rise. teen drinkin is a problem and needs to stop.

Depression is a common problem among teenagers of today. With all of the stress
of school, parents, etc , teenager feel a lot of pressure put on them. Students in
school are pressured with tests, teachers personalities, and peer pressure mostly. 1
in 8 adolescence may be suffering from depression. 30 % of these children ultimately
die of suicide. These statistics are scary because children of today are killing
themselves unnecessarily. There are many different warning signs of depression such
as : constant mood swings, sluggishness, drug abuse, talking about death, physical
ailments, problems in school (failing grades, not paying attention in class, getting
into trouble constantly.)

A tenn issue that has become a large issue is teen pregnancy. In the midst of a debate over the best way to lower teen pregnancy rates, whether it is through teaching abstinence or informing teens about the risks of STD's

and methods of birth control, the story of an eleven-year-old girl giving birth to a baby, to me screams, "neither is working!" The fact is, teachers can preach and teach until they are blue in the face, but until parents take initiative in teaching their own children about sex, .

a TASER is a weapon that fires electrical probes that give an electric shock, causing temporary paralysis i think that the police went to far. the boy was only worrying about the safety of his sister. even thouqh he was runninq they jumped to conclusionss. this is all i have to say about the police tasinq a student at a basketball qamee.
